But which watches are actually worth buying?

That can be surprisingly difficult to figure out. Amazon is packed with unfamiliar brands offering impressive specifications at very low prices. While tempting, many are generic watches produced in bulk and sold under different names, sometimes for much less on marketplaces like AliExpress. Specifications around materials, crystals, and water resistance aren’t always reliable either.

That doesn’t mean affordable watches should be avoided. There are some excellent options if you know where to look.

Most people immediately associate Casio with its digital watches, but the brand offers much more than that. The G-Shock range is a perfect example. These watches are built for everyday abuse, with rugged cases, practical digital displays, and the kind of durability that has made G-Shock one of Casio’s most recognizable collections.

For something more traditional, Casio Edifice gives us a completely different look.
